Greenspace, also sometimes referred to as green space or open space, denotes an area within an urban environment that is primarily covered in grass, trees, or other vegetation. It can range from smaller pockets of green, like community gardens and pocket parks, to larger areas like city parks, nature reserves, or even golf courses.

 

Key Components:

  1. Natural Elements: Predominantly features elements of nature, such as trees, shrubs, flowers, grasses, water bodies, and wildlife.

  2. Recreational Areas: Greenspaces might include playgrounds, sports courts, walking trails, seating areas, and other recreational facilities.
